Looks like the NBA has the same problems. Players juicing up to enhance their levels of play on the court. It happens in football, the Olympics, Baseball, and from what Derrick Rose tells reporters....in basketball too.
The league has very strict policy that players have to follow....testing that is, with stern penalties for those caught in violation of the leagues substance abuse policies. Each year that passes they step it up a notch on the guidelines, but somehow there are players that fall through the crease.
Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose was interviewed by ESPN magazine a few weeks ago when the topic came about. They asked him on a scale from 1-10 how bad he thought the steroid problem in the NBA was....he responded with a 7. Shortly after giving a numerical analysis of the leagues problem he said..."It's huge and i think we need a level playing field, where nobody has that advantage over the next person".
Now we all know that players on professional teams get paid a very healthy amount of money to play.... but at what point do they as players realize that when they use performance enhanced drugs their legacy will be tarnished? Their fans will never look at them the same even if it comes out that they didn't use drugs?
