Big rally at Michigans capitol to protest tax on pensions...

Well over 1,100 people gathered Tuesday morning at Michigans capitol in Lansing (my hometown) to protest a tax on pensions proposed by our new gov Rick Snyder. Snyder's logic behind the tax is his belief that this will erase a 1.4 billion dollar shortfall, because it somehow allows more fairness into the system. Seriously??

Taxing retired workers that depend on the little money they get on a monthly basis is what you call....Fair? Meanwhile next year the state will give Michigan businesses a 1.8 billion dollar tax break. I think the worst part about this is the fact that some of the main people that showed up to protest at the capitol actually voted for Snyder in the election. Now all of a sudden they want a re-do. This isn't golf.... there are no Mulligans.

My question is this.... do you think it's fair to tax retirees on their pension....knowing they survive off a limited amount of money from month to month?
