Props to Starbucks

Ill be completely honest, I don't drink Starbucks coffee. But based on what i heard from the news today.... i just might start. I have to give them props for doing what should be a "no brain-er"....bringing jobs back home to America. Yep..... This picture attached here is of a small pottery plant by the name of American Mug's in East Liverpool Ohio that just got the contract to start making Starbucks coffee mugs.

This was a town not too long ago that had dozens of pottery plants, now only 2 remain. The median income is about 33% lower than the entire states average income to give you an idea of just how bad that area needed a jobs boost. Because of Starbucks bringing jobs to America that were previously sent to China, this small pottery plant is able to not only keep 4 employees on the workforce that were standing a chance of being laid off... they were also able to create 8 more jobs to accommodate the work load. Sources report that Starbucks has also made plans to open a new plant in Augusta Ga, that would accommodate a workforce of roughly 140 people. This plant will specialize in making the companies Via instant coffee and ingredients for their Frappuccino drinks. Good work Starbucks..... thank you!

We cant give Starbucks all the credit though. There are a few other companies that are doing the same thing. General Electric created 800 jobs in Ky and N.Y by building plants that create sophisticated batteries. Some of which were previously made in China so once again my hat is off to those doing the right thing, bringing jobs back to America.

Another name on the list of companies following suit is a company named NCR that made their Headquarters in Deluth Georgia. They specialize in making automated teller machines and made the decision to bring jobs here that were once occupied by workers overseas. Be on the lookout for this companies virtual teller machines. This machine will have multi function capabilities that will make every ones banking transactions faster and more interactive without having to wait in line at the branch. Sussex county Federal Credit Union in Delaware has the machine installed and due to its capabilities of driving multiple transactions at once.... they have decided to install these machines across their entire ATM network. Looks like Deluth Ga, is going to need a few more hands to feed the demand. This will definitely spread across the country, mark my words. I'm already jealous that we don't have these ATM machines in Lansing Michigan!! Virtual tellers at the ATM?? Come on son... Make it happen!

Everyone knows this is the election year. The problem is.... most Americans out of work could care less. They just know they don't have a job and they are way past restless. It's blatantly obvious that Congress will not pass the Presidents jobs bill because they  are primarily Republican and they are planning to freeze every bill that would help the economy until they get their way and Romney is President. I hope every understands that Romney WILL raise taxes on those that cant afford it. We went from paying for a war that costed 12 Billion/month under Bush, to Republicans wanting America to put a man in office that plans to give a 2.2% tax cut to those making $50-$75,000, while (his boys)... those that make more than $1 Million will get a 15% tax cut. God only knows what other taxes he will raise on top of that. This is a better breakdown of what I'm talking about...... click the link for more information in regards to the Romney tax plan. This will take you to it on a new page >>> Romney Tax Cuts better for the rich....of course.

America, we cant afford to back step. We are constantly gaining employment on a monthly basis and we as a country have had the best 6 month streak in employment since 2006. Many people are still out of work, that's why i believe it is imperative that other companies who previously took jobs overseas  sit down and reconsider doing what Starbucks, GE, and NCR have done. You cant expect one man to hold a wall up by himself when there are 20 men on the other side trying to push it down. That's the dilemma the President has to face. Republicans want in office so anything that will better the country will NOT get passed because they don't want President Obama to get credit. So i urge companies to bring jobs back not for your own interest, not for the candidate you want in office because they will give you breaks, but for America.

Got any comments......Speak on it.
